This Saturday, Kanz ul Huda sisters organised a unique and enriching experience that brought together mothers and children in a blend of Islamic educational activities and social interaction. The Kanz Kids Winter Camp and Mothers’ Coffee Meet focused on imparting moral and spiritual lessons drawn from the Qur’an and Sunnah, with a special emphasis on the life of the Prophet ‘Isa Alaihisalaam. Upto 400 attendees, from various ethnicities and backgrounds, registered to attend the Winter Camp, choosing from any of the 4 sessions available.
During the camp, children delved into the life and teachings of Prophet ‘Isa Alaihisalaam in a structured, inclusive and motivating environment. Kanz ul Huda sisters arranged for interactive sessions that explored the life and teachings of Sayyiduna ‘Isa Alaihisalaam through uniquely created presentations and activities. This exploration into Prophetic history from an Islamic perspective was not only informative but also instilled a sense of heritage and identity among the young participants, something that often gets subdued by Christian narratives in the western secular education system.
The essence of the camp was to firstly strengthen the faith of all the attendees and to also instil values such as kindness, honesty, and respect into the hearts and characters of all those present. The children were immersed in stories and lessons that encouraged them to embody the noble Prophetic virtues. The narratives of the Prophets' lives served as powerful moral compasses, guiding the young minds towards a path of exemplary character.
Incorporating the winter theme, Kanz ul Huda organised a variety of seasonal activities that were both educational and stimulating. Snowflake painting became a canvas for creativity, allowing children to express their artistic skills through intricate designs and patterns. The Nasheed singalong sessions, filled with melodious praises of the Prophet ﷺ, provided enlightening spiritual enrichment for both the children and mothers alike. Moreover, a designated area for indoor soft play and games offered a safe and enjoyable space for physical activity, catering to the energetic spirit of the young attendees.
Recognising the importance of nutrition, Kanz ul Huda sisters ensured a spread of healthy snacks. The selection included fresh fruits, nourishing juices, and light crisps, keeping the children energised for the day’s activities.
Alongside the children’s camp, the Mothers’ Coffee Meet offered a tranquil setting for mothers to socialise, network and learn about Islam. This segment of the event was more than just a casual gathering; it was a platform for mothers to learn the deen, share parenting experiences, exchange valuable advice and form a supportive community. The conversations revolved around the various courses offered by Kanz ul Huda such the weekly Ihya, Qur’an Tafsir lectures by Shaykh Saqib Iqbal Hh as well as the Fard Ayn, Alimiyah, Tajwid and Qu’ran classes available. Other subjects such as emotional well-being, and the joys and challenges of motherhood were also discussed in a private and safe atmosphere.
Both the camp and the coffee meet, under Kanz ul Huda’s thoughtful planning, were designed to provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. This setting was conducive to learning, engaging, and enjoying the array of activities and interactions on offer.

The event was well organised and a special online registration platform allowed each child to be catered for according to their ages, medical needs/ allergies. Upon entry, each child was given a unique wrist band for identification which allowed mothers peace of mind to enjoy the event.
Kanz ul Huda’s professionally trained teaching staff played a crucial role in ensuring that the children’s activities were not only enjoyable but also held educational value. The entire program was well-structured and executed in a timely manner, making for a smooth and enriching experience for all participants.
